The Mexican Ministry of Economy announced that on March 16, the first official round of bilateral discussions between Mexico and the United States will begin for the review of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which also includes Canada. This agreement is reviewed every six years, and the current round of negotiations is taking place in the context of tariff pressures exerted by American President Donald Trump, who has threatened to withdraw from the treaty. The discussions are essential for establishing the future of trade relations between the three countries involved.
