She highlighted that the current American administration has accelerated an already existing trend, characterized by a progressive disinterest in Europe, in favor of global competition with China, thus transforming the Indo-Pacific region into a priority geostrategic axis. Meloni, known for her closeness to President Donald Trump, stressed that it is essential for Europe to reaffirm its role on the international stage in these circumstances.
