Giorgia Meloni has ordered that the Global Sumud flotilla, which was heading to Gaza with humanitarian aid, be stopped, fearing that it could disrupt an American plan to end the conflict between Israel and Hamas. The flotilla, which includes over 500 people, is being accompanied by an Italian frigate and is on alert due to drone activity in the area.
