In her letter to Vladimir Putin, Melania Trump raised the issue of the deportation of children from Ukraine, an extremely sensitive issue for Ukraine, which considers these actions as war crimes and genocide. Although Melania did not accompany Donald Trump to the summit in Alaska, the US President personally handed the letter to Putin. Russia claims the deportation was meant to protect vulnerable children, but the UN has reported serious violations of their rights.
