Max Verstappen will participate in the 24-hour race at Nurburgring on May 16-17, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 under the colors of Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing

Max Verstappen, four-time Formula 1 world champion, will compete in the 24-hour race at Nurburgring, scheduled for May 16-17. This endurance competition is part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge calendar.

Verstappen will drive a Mercedes-AMG GT3, representing Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing, and will benefit from the support of the Red Bull team. The Dutch driver stated that this race has been on his wish list for a long time and he is very excited to participate. In preparation for this event, he will also take part in the Nurburgring Endurance Series on March 21. Last year, Verstappen obtained a license for endurance racing and made his debut in GT3, winning a race with a Ferrari 296 GT3. Recently, in Formula 1, he finished in 6th place in the first round of the 2026 season.
