The decision to make the Max app mandatory on all electronic devices was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Musushin. It will replace VK Messenger, which has been on the list of pre-installed apps since 2023. Max will offer a multifunctional service for secure communication and access to digital services. Lime HD TV will also be pre-installed on TVs from January 1, 2026. In the context of the restrictions, Telegram and WhatsApp calls have been partially restricted to combat crime.
