Maria Corina Machado, the leader of the opposition in Venezuela, will not be present at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday in Oslo. The announcement was made by the Norwegian Nobel Institute, stating that her daughter, Ana Corina Machado, will accept the award on behalf of her mother. She will also deliver the speech prepared by Maria Corina. The Institute confirmed that the opposition leader is living in hiding in Venezuela, which explains her absence from the ceremony. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM local time (2:00 PM Romania time).
