In a statement given to Fox News, Marco Rubio, the head of U.S. diplomacy, stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have become the most capable fighting force in Europe, despite their smaller size compared to Russia. Rubio highlighted that Russia is suffering significant losses, losing between 15,000 and 20,000 soldiers killed per month, while Ukraine, with a smaller army, has much lower losses. He also mentioned that, although Ukraine benefits from international aid, the experience gained on the battlefield has contributed to its effectiveness.
Rubio acknowledged that the momentum for negotiations has slowed, with both sides being entrenched in their positions on the battlefield, but he expressed hope that they will return to discussions. Additionally, Ukraine is now sharing its experience with drones from other countries, demonstrating their effectiveness in international military exercises, such as those in Sweden, where Swedish tactics have been adjusted following Ukrainian interventions.
