A man died after being shot in the head in the center of Barcelona, in front of a police station.

On Wednesday morning, around 10:00 AM, a man was shot dead in the head in downtown Barcelona, right in front of a police station, according to information provided by Le Figaro. The incident occurred in the presence of witnesses, one of whom stated that he saw the victim lying on the ground. The attacker managed to flee the scene, shooting another man before escaping. The Catalan police later found the weapon used in the attack at a bus station.

The identity of the victim is unknown, as he did not have any identification documents on him, but sources indicate that he is Caucasian. Currently, authorities have no leads regarding the attacker. The incident coincided with the Pope's visit to Catalonia, but it was not related to it and did not affect the schedule of the Sovereign Pontiff, according to police sources.
