The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, stated that he feels "more famous" than artists Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny, due to the media attention he receives from the American media in the context of tensions with Washington. Maduro commented that he was surprised to see his image on channels like Fox News and CNN, claiming that this confirms his notoriety. He believes that the U.S. uses drug trafficking as a pretext to impose regime change in Venezuela and to control the country's oil resources.

Additionally, the Trump administration deployed a fleet in the Caribbean for anti-drug operations, while American justice offers a reward of 50 million dollars for his capture. Maduro emphasized that he is not afraid of external threats and that the Venezuelan people will continue to fight for their autonomy. Since the beginning of September, the U.S. has conducted airstrikes in the Pacific and Caribbean, destroying ships they consider linked to drug trafficking, without presenting clear evidence.
