In a speech addressed to the nation, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran bears the main responsibility for the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, highlighting the negative impact on the Strait of Hormuz and essential maritime routes for the global economy. Macron announced the initiative to build an international coalition to protect these routes, mentioning the deployment of the nuclear aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and frigates in the Mediterranean Sea.

He warned Israel against a possible ground operation in Lebanon, considering it a "dangerous escalation and a strategic mistake," while condemning Hezbollah's attacks on Israel. Macron reaffirmed France's commitment to maintaining peace in the region and emphasized the importance of cooperation with allies in the Middle East. He also mentioned the deployment of additional military resources, including Rafale fighter jets and radars, to support regional security.
