During a joint press conference with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced his intention to run for a fourth term in Brazil, emphasizing that, although he will be 80 years old, he feels full of energy. Lula previously won three presidential elections, in 2002, 2006, and 2022, and according to the Brazilian Constitution, a president can only serve two consecutive terms. Currently, Lula does not have a significant opponent, as his main rival, former President Jair Bolsonaro, was recently sentenced to 27 years in prison for attempted coup. This situation gives Lula a significant advantage in the upcoming elections.
