The Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko reacted to journalists' questions, characterizing the claims about the use of "Oreshnik" missiles as "total nonsense." He emphasized that Belarus's goal is not to attack cities like Vilnius, Warsaw, or Kyiv, but to defend its country.

Lukashenko warned that if targets in Belarus are considered legitimate, he will not just "sit back and watch." The "Oreshnik" missile, a Russian medium-range missile system, was used for the first time by the Russian armed forces in November 2024, during an attack on the city of Dnipro in Ukraine. The Belarusian leader called for a rational approach to conflict resolution and warned that provocations are unwelcome.
