The Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko has begun a two-day official visit to North Korea, aimed at identifying areas of common interest and promising collaboration projects. The two countries, allies of Moscow and subject to international sanctions, are seeking to strengthen their relations.

Lukashenko and Kim Jong-un previously met in September in Beijing, where they attended a military parade. Additionally, Kim expressed in March the desire to expand the traditional friendship and cooperation relations with Belarus, emphasizing the commitment to develop them to a new level.

This visit reflects the intention of both countries to collaborate more closely in the current geopolitical context.
