Aleksandr Lukashenko, the authoritarian leader of Belarus, is developing a luxury residential complex in a mountain resort in southern Russia, according to an investigation by the Belarusian Investigative Center (BIC). The project, located near Krasnaia Poliana, spans 10 hectares and is progressing rapidly, officially presented as a luxury hotel, although investigators believe it is a private residence for Lukashenko. The complex is surrounded by a 2.5-meter fence, equipped with advanced security measures, including weapon cameras and anti-drone systems.

The luxury of the complex includes a banquet hall, underground pools, and villas with private pools. The land was sold to a Russian firm for a substantially lower amount than its actual value, through a secret decree signed by Lukashenko. The investigation suggests that the project is financed through an opaque business network, linked to individuals close to the regime in Minsk, and serves as a personal residence disguised under an exclusive tourism project.
