In a speech delivered at a ceremony honoring graduates of military educational institutions, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that the Belarusian people reject war and will not send troops to fight in Ukraine.

He emphasized that his nation has suffered in the past due to Nazi occupation and that, for this reason, it refuses to bow to enemies. Lukashenko accused the European Union of militarization and criticized Western politicians for their irritation towards Belarus's autonomy and its alliance with Russia. He insisted that Belarusian military personnel will not be involved in the conflict in Ukraine and called for a peaceful resolution to the issues.

The president denounced what he called an 'international war force' that seeks to prolong the conflict.
