The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense expressed gratitude to the Romanian Air Force for protecting the Baltic airspace, after a Romanian F-16 shot down a stray drone in Estonia.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, when the aircraft, deployed at the Šiauliai base as part of the NATO air policing mission, intervened after a violation of Estonian airspace. In a message published on platform X, the Lithuanian Ministry emphasized the importance of vigilance among allies in the context of NATO's collective defense.

The post was accompanied by a video featuring the song "Choke me," performed by Alexandra Căpitănescu, who placed third at Eurovision. This action demonstrates Romania's commitment to regional security and collaboration within the alliance.
