In a press conference, Sergei Lavrov stated that he has not seen evidence to support the claim that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, emphasizing that both the International Atomic Energy Agency and American intelligence services confirm that Tehran has not attempted to manufacture such weapons. Lavrov expressed doubts about the motives behind the bombings against Iran, stating that it is unrealistic for only Iran to give up its right to enrich uranium, a right it has as a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
He also called for an end to American and Israeli attacks, as well as those from Iran against the countries in the Persian Gulf. Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to intervene alongside Tehran after discussions with regional leaders.
