A Latvian citizen has been arrested on suspicion of transmitting information about military installations and operations in Latvia to Russian intelligence services. He is alleged to have provided details about military locations, security plans, the construction of new facilities, military exercises, and the presence of NATO troops. Detained since August, the man faces a sentence of 10 years in prison. Latvia, a NATO member since 2004, fears possible threats from Russia.
