Kiefer Sutherland, a 59-year-old Canadian actor, was arrested in Hollywood after being accused of assaulting and threatening a ride-share driver. According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the incident occurred on Monday at 12:15 AM PST (08:15 GMT), when Sutherland entered a ride-share vehicle, physically assaulted the driver, and made criminal threats. Fortunately, the victim did not suffer any injuries as a result of the incident. Sutherland was released after posting a $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on February 2. BBC has contacted the actor's representatives for comments.
