Kazakhstan is strengthening its oil export strategy by diversifying routes, especially due to dependence on the CPC pipeline. In 2024, the country produced 87.7 million tons of oil, most of which was exported through CPC. Kazakhstan is now promoting alternative routes, including trans-Caspian transport and corridors such as Baku-Supsa. It has also started deliveries through the Druzhba system and is exploring options through Iran. Despite infrastructure challenges, diversification will contribute to integration with European markets and reduce strategic vulnerability.
