Judge Kathleen Williams has issued a preliminary injunction prohibiting new inmates from being brought to 'Alligator Alcatraz' and requiring the removal of additional infrastructure. The lawsuit was brought by environmental groups and a Native American tribe concerned about the environmental impact. The center, built temporarily, has been criticized for the poor conditions in which migrants are being held. Florida plans to appeal the decision.
