Milei argued that institutions meant to guarantee collective security and human rights had failed, allowing chaos, violence, and international terrorism to develop. He accused the UN of ignoring Argentina’s historic claims to the Falkland Islands, which are administered by the United Kingdom.

A significant part of the speech was devoted to artificial intelligence. The Argentine president praised its potential to increase productivity and rejected fears about the technology’s risks, criticizing “dystopian scenarios” and calls for global AI governance.

Milei also denounced the positions taken by the UN and the World Health Organization during the COVID-19 pandemic, saying they had supported “a global social control experiment disguised as science.” This was one of the Argentine leader’s harshest speeches targeting international organizations.
