Nearly two decades after the death of Chiara Poggi, a 26-year-old woman found murdered in Garlasco, Italy, the case has been reopened, sparking controversy and doubts about the Italian justice system. Alberto Stasi, the victim's former boyfriend, was convicted in 2015, but now prosecutors are investigating a new theory that involves Andrea Sempio, a friend of Poggi's brother.

Sempio has been called in for questioning but denies the allegations. The case has been compared to that of British student Meredith Kercher, highlighting the deficiencies of the judicial system. New DNA analyses suggest a connection between Sempio and the crime, and allegations of corruption among the prosecutors further complicate the situation. The case continues to captivate public attention and raise questions about the effectiveness of justice in Italy.
