The demonstration took place ahead of the presentation of the EU's Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), which will set out the allocation of resources for the next seven years. Coldiretti, representing Italian farmers, unfurled banners at the European Commission headquarters to underline the importance of agriculture and warn of the risks of its decline. Hundreds of farmers attended, demanding a future based on work and dignity. Another demonstration also took place in Rome, highlighting the link between agriculture, democracy and food sovereignty.
