After a nearly two-week suspension due to the conflict with Iran, Israel's Leviathan and Karish natural gas fields have resumed operations. This will allow the resumption of exports to Egypt and Jordan, essential for their consumption. The suspended activity caused losses of about $12m and the companies involved are considering compensation claims. The resumption of extraction is the result of a favorable safety assessment and gas deliveries to Egyptian industry will resume soon.
