The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday the acquisition of air munitions worth 200 million dollars, as part of efforts to strengthen preparations for short-term combat scenarios and for intensive security activity over the next decade. The munitions will be manufactured by the Israeli company Elbit Systems, which will utilize its facilities throughout the country.

Defense Minister Israel Katz emphasized that the purchase from a local company aims to strengthen Israel's independence in the defense industry, thereby providing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) with the necessary means to act quickly and efficiently, without external dependencies. Additionally, at the beginning of March, the U.S. approved the sale of 12,000 bombs to Israel, worth 151.8 million dollars, and at the end of the same month, Israel announced another acquisition of ground munitions from Elbit Systems, worth 48 million dollars.
