The Guardians of the Islamic Revolution in Iran claimed the airstrikes on Kuwait and Bahrain as retaliation for American actions.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from Iran announced on Sunday responsibility for the airstrikes against Kuwait and Bahrain, in response to American bombings on Iranian territory.

In a statement, the IRGC declared that it has destroyed eight key American military installations, including at the Ali al-Salem airbase in Kuwait and at the naval base of the Fifth Fleet in Port Salman, Bahrain. They warned that any enemy aggression will be met with a "relentless response".

The Kuwaiti army confirmed that it is facing hostile rocket and drone attacks, while in Bahrain, air raid sirens were activated, and the Ministry of Interior urged the population to remain calm and take shelter.
