Abbas Araqchi, the Iranian foreign minister, sent an official letter to the UN on Monday, highlighting the severe and long-term consequences of the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei following coordinated attacks by the United States and Israel.
Abbas Araqchi accused these countries of violating the principles of international law and warned that such actions could generate unpredictable and dangerous problems, affecting international stability. He emphasized that the attack on a high-ranking official of a UN member state is a serious violation of sovereignty. Araqchi also called for the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council to take immediate action to hold the US and Israel accountable for this terrorist act.
