Iran threatens the US after the attack on the Iranian frigate Dena: "The United States will bitterly regret the precedent they have created"

The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the American attack on the frigate Dena, emphasizing that the US will regret the precedent set.

The Iranian frigate Dena, with nearly 130 sailors on board, was attacked without warning by an American submarine in international waters of the Indian Ocean, 3,200 km off the coast of Iran.

The Pentagon Secretary, Pete Hegseth, confirmed the incident, stating that the Iranian ship, considered safe, was sunk. Authorities in Sri Lanka reported 87 dead, 32 survivors, and 60 missing following the attack, escalating tensions between the US and Iran.
