Iran's Supreme National Security Council has approved the formation of a new National Defense Council, which will be headed by the country's president and include military commanders and government representatives. The decision comes after a violent conflict with Israel, following which Iran launched rocket and drone attacks resulting in thousands of casualties, including more than a thousand dead in Iran and 28 in Israel.
