The President of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stated that the armies of the European Union countries are considered 'terrorist groups', following the EU's decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. This decision was made in the context of the most severe repression of protests in Iran since the establishment of the Islamic Republic in 1979. Qalibaf criticized this action, claiming that Europeans are acting against their own interests, influenced by the United States. He announced that the Iranian Parliament will discuss the expulsion of military attaches from EU countries and will collaborate with the foreign ministry to address this issue. The Revolutionary Guard, established to protect the clerical regime, plays a significant role in the power structure in Iran, having control over the economy and armed forces.
