The investigation revealed that many of the victims, including 12-year-old girls, were subjected to contraceptive procedures without consent, such as IUDs or hormonal injections. These traumatic experiences left emotional and physical scars, and the governments of Denmark and Greenland have officially apologized for this historical abuse, with a presentation event for the apologies scheduled for September 24.
