According to the announcement made by AGD Diamonds, a high-quality diamond weighing 56 carats was found at the Vladimir Grib deposit in the Arkhangelsk region. This is the second largest crystal discovered in 2026 in this region, measuring 23.7 x 22.7 x 16.4 mm.
The company stated that the diamond is the 53rd extracted since the beginning of commercial mining at the Vladimir Grib deposit. Previously, on February 13, another large diamond was discovered. The Vladimir Grib deposit produces approximately 4 million carats of diamonds annually, and in February 2026, a historic total of 50 million carats was reached. The Arkhangelsk region is known for its unique diamond deposits in Europe, with two deposits managed by different companies.
