An impostor has managed to impersonate US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, contacting foreign ministers, a governor and a member of Congress via voice and text messages, mimicking his style with the help of artificial intelligence. Authorities don't know who the culprit is, but suspect his goal is to obtain sensitive information. The impostor used the Signal app and created an account with a username similar to Rubio's official address. The State Department has begun an investigation and has promised additional security measures. This is not an isolated case, as other officials have been targeted by similar attempts in the past.
