Jessica Kilgore from Iguana Solutions stated that she has collected iguanas worth hundreds of pounds, mentioning that green iguanas are an invasive species and cannot be relocated. She explained that the cold and strong winds from the beach worsen the situation. When temperatures drop below 10-15 degrees Celsius, a "cold-stunned iguana storm" occurs. Although iguanas risk death if they cannot warm up, human intervention is often more dangerous, as well-meaning passersby may pick up the reptiles, thinking they need help.
