Peter Szijjarto stated that Brussels is preparing for war and that the European Union's budget for the next seven years is in favor of Ukraine, to the detriment of the internal challenges of the EU. He accused the poor decisions from Brussels for the deterioration of European security and economy and emphasized that Hungary does not wish to contribute to the financing of the Ukrainian army. Szijjarto criticized the pro-war and pro-migration policies of the EU and reaffirmed Hungary's position of not providing military support to Ukraine. Tensions between Hungary and Ukraine have intensified, especially after Russia's invasion.
