Public television and radio stations in Hungary have temporarily suspended their broadcasts, announcing reforms to become independent.

On Tuesday afternoon, public television and radio stations in Hungary temporarily ceased broadcasting, announcing a major reform under the leadership of the new Prime Minister Peter Magyar. He stated that the day in question is a 'historic' one, emphasizing that 'propaganda' has ceased to be broadcast. Viewers of the public channel M1 were greeted with a message on a black screen, in which the station apologizes for the 'lies' of the past and promises a transformation towards independence and credibility.

Additionally, the M1 program will resume that same evening, but without news bulletins. On the same day, the Hungarian parliament began debates on constitutional amendments aimed at restructuring the system of former Prime Minister Orban, who will organize a protest against the current power. These changes reflect an attempt to distance public media from previous political influences.
