A Hungarian citizen wanted internationally was arrested in Spain following the publication of the profile on EU Most Wanted.

A Hungarian fugitive, 37 years old, was arrested in Tenerife, Spain, on May 7, after his profile was published on the EU Most Wanted platform. The man had been sentenced to eight years in prison by the Metropolitan Court of Budapest for serious sexual offenses against a minor and was wanted by Hungarian authorities.

The arrest took place just three days after the information about him was published, and an anonymous tip received through the site indicated the location where he was hiding.
