The humanoid robots from China demonstrate that they can run faster than the fastest humans in the world, but the competition organized in Beijing seeks to answer a much more important question for the future of the industry: can these machines autonomously perform precision tasks from the real world?

The first day has already brought spectacular results, Reuters shows. Two robots covered 100 meters in less than 9.58 seconds, the world record set by Usain Bolt. Another robot finished the 400-meter race in 39.7 seconds, compared to the human world record of 43.03 seconds.
