The HHS, led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has decided to abandon development of mRNA vaccines, including a contract with Moderna for an avian flu vaccine, affecting 22 projects worth nearly $500 million. At the same time, researchers at the University of Florida have obtained promising results for an experimental mRNA vaccine that stimulates the immune system to fight cancer without targeting a specific protein. This suggests a new paradigm in the development of cancer vaccines, with the potential to offer innovative treatments for various types of tumors.
