Extreme heatwave in Europe has led to two deaths in France and a deadly fire in Spain, affecting thousands of hectares of land.

In France, the heatwave killed two people and required emergency treatment for more than 300 people, with temperatures reaching 41 degrees Celsius. In Spain, an agricultural fire led to the death of a farmer and his employee, destroying 5,000 hectares. In Switzerland, a nuclear reactor was shut down to protect the local ecosystem due to warm waters in the Aare river. Extreme conditions continue to affect parts of Europe.
