In France, the heatwave killed two people and required emergency treatment for more than 300 people, with temperatures reaching 41 degrees Celsius. In Spain, an agricultural fire led to the death of a farmer and his employee, destroying 5,000 hectares. In Switzerland, a nuclear reactor was shut down to protect the local ecosystem due to warm waters in the Aare river. Extreme conditions continue to affect parts of Europe.
