The Handala ship, part of the pro-Palestinian 'Freedom Flotilla' movement, is carrying humanitarian aid and is approaching the Gaza Strip coast, intending to dock despite the Israeli blockade. On board are 19 activists, including French MPs. The Israeli navy has said it will not allow the ship to touch Palestinian territory, preparing security measures. The crew has threatened a hunger strike if they are intercepted.
