Hamas has agreed to release ten Israeli hostages, following indirect talks with Israel, as part of negotiations for a truce in the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed optimism that a deal is possible, despite continuing Israeli attacks that have left dozens of Palestinians dead. The negotiations include sending aid to Gaza and the withdrawal of Israeli forces. They are also discussing the release of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for hostages.
