Greece threatens to block North Macedonia's EU membership after the country's president used the name 'Macedonia' instead of 'North Macedonia'.

The President of Northern Macedonia used the name 'Macedonia' during her inauguration in violation of a UN-brokered agreement between Athens and Skopje. Greece said the use of the name by its neighbor implied territorial claims over a Greek province also called Macedonia. Similar warnings came from the EU.
