This measure comes in the wake of significant delays in processing work visas, especially H-1B visas, caused by a more detailed review of each visa case by U.S. embassies. Immigration law firms, such as BAL Immigration Law and Fragomen, have highlighted the risks of being stuck outside the U.S. without a valid visa stamp. Additionally, Indian technology professionals have faced cancellations and rescheduling of interviews for visa renewals. This is not the first time that large tech companies have issued such warnings, considering a recent fee for H-1B applications.
