Germany supports Ukraine with over 10 million euros for military training

Germany will allocate over 10 million euros for a European Union initiative aimed at establishing military training centers in Ukraine, announced Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, who is visiting Kiev.

The German Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius, stated that the funds will be allocated to finance the infrastructure of a fully developed training institution in Ukraine. These training centers are essential for maintaining a high level of combat readiness of Ukrainian forces, even in the context of a possible peace agreement with Russia. Pistorius emphasized that this is part of a series of planned deterrent measures for the future. He also mentioned that nearly 27,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained in Germany. On May 11, Pistorius and Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov signed a letter of intent in Kiev to launch the Brave Germany program, aimed at developing defense technologies and supporting innovative startups. During the visit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced collaboration between Kiev and Berlin on six joint arms production projects.
