Germany has decided to send two ships to the Red Sea as a preparatory measure for a possible military mine-clearing mission in the Strait of Hormuz, according to an announcement made by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. This decision was made shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an agreement with Iran aimed at ending the conflict that has affected global energy supplies.

In this context, representatives of the maritime industry and the insurance sector have urgently requested the deployment of specialized mine-clearing ships in the area, emphasizing the importance of ensuring safe navigation in this strategic region. Germany's actions reflect its commitment to contributing to international stability and maritime security.
