Germany will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 400 million dollars, announced by the German Minister of Defense, Boris Pistorius, in Brussels, after a meeting of the Contact Group for the defense of Ukraine. Part of this amount will be used for the purchase of PAC-3 interceptor missiles for the American Patriot air defense systems. Germany will contribute 200 million dollars to the PURL program, aimed at the procurement of weapons and ammunition for Ukraine. Minister Pistorius emphasized the importance of international support and encouraged other group allies to participate in funding these missiles. Additionally, Germany and Ukraine have agreed to develop a joint air defense system. Ukraine is requesting an additional 20 billion dollars from allies for military purchases, alongside the already secured 40 billion dollars.
