The incident took place near the town of Grimma, where a training helicopter crashed into a river, causing an emergency. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed two people dead and a third missing. At the scene, the Bundeswehr set up an exclusion zone because of the kerosene spill. Around 200 emergency crews intervened to control the situation. The helicopter crashed 25 km from Leipzig.
